Karate Kick in Motion

Created for my portfolio. I decided to make an illustration in motion. I am a black belt in karate at Mayers Karate & Fitness, and I chose to draw nine frames of myself performing a jumping front kick. I also added my instructor to show that I sometimes take private lessons with him. I used various tones of color and shadows in the figure of myself to further emphasize the motion. The kick takes place in the dojo of my Karate school. This piece encompasses both my passions, art and karate.
